HOLD ME WHILE I FIX MYSELF | FATHIMA ASHAB | BOOM REVIEW

Book- Hold Me While I Fix Myself

Author- Fathima Ashab

When Fathima released the cover of the book, I couldn’t stop staring at it and getting mesmerized.

This book is not just a collection of poems but also a collection of feelings and emotions. The writing style is so raw and beautiful that it makes you want to read those lines again and again.

I could relate to the poems in so many ways- I had flashbacks, felt some pains again, re-lived some happy memories, held back tears and also found strength, hope and self love. I have so many favorites that most of the book is underlined. The way Fathima has connected me with her words, it felt like I was there while she was writing it or she has written it for me particularly. I know I’m gonna go back to these poems again when I feel sad and they’ll calm me.

I don’t know what more to say because sometimes some things are so beautiful that you can’t find the right words to describe the feelings and emotions they stir in you.

MY RATING- 4/5

Rating: 4 out of 5.
